The Professional Championship Belt
Professional Wrestling focuses on regional and specialized titles. The use of regional titles is more important in promotions that are conform the National Wrestling Alliance. World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is currently the only organization that recognizes three world champions because of a brand extension that led to each brand is designated a world title. The World Championship heavyweight is designated for the original mark, while the ECW Championship is designated for the brand ECW, WWE Championship and is designated for the SmackDown brand.
Typically, wrestling has much more belts unique design than boxing. Wrestling companies use different styles for each championship. The most notable exception is the Japan Pro Wrestling NOAH, whose belts follow a specific model. World Wrestling Entertainment became the first company to trademark their drawings belts so that the drawings could not be used for other promotions. Other models, such as John Cena "Spinner Belt" Steve Austin and "Smoking Skull Belt" are replaced by conventional seat belts to strengthen this character. WWE has had many different belts to represent the WWE Championship, the National Wrestling Alliance has used the same model for over 30 years, except from 1986 to 1993, when the Great Belt gold was the NWA World Championship heavyweight.
